First Prize               - Rs.10.000/-

Second Prize          - Rs.6,000/-

Third Prize             - Rs.4,000/-

RULES FOR SENDING ENTRIES

Print Journalists (including freelancers) who have had their story on mental health published in any newspaper or magazine are eligible to participate. The article should have been published in an Indian National or Regional newspaper or magazine between April 2016 and March 2017 in English or any Indian language.

Applicants must submit entries that focus on or highlight one or more aspects of mental health such as disorders of the mind (depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, etc), mental health care delivery, stigma and discrimination, effective interventions, family and community support programs and policies, funding etc. News reports and articles on lifestyle and stress-related problems, such as call-centre woes, marital problems etc. will not qualify.

If the article is in an Indian language, an English translation should be provided. Entries should be sent by 10th of September 2017. The decision of the jury will be final. The results will be announced by SCARF by the end of September, 2017.
