The CEO of Rajya Sabha TV has resigned and has been asked to hand over charge of RSTV to the CEO of Prasar Bharati. This is unprecedented. A channel functioning from the house of elders in parliament will now be administered by a body which while being autonomous in theory is effectively answerable to the government of the day. It may be an interim arrangement, but the Prasar Bharati chairperson Surya Prakash's tweet sounds ominous:"Change is in the air in Rajya Sabha TV" he tweeted.
