Neutrality should be a report's hallmark, but headlines often betray bias. As did
this one on pg 1 of
Mumbai Mirror. "MLA's red flag saves state blushes on Kashmir" it said. The text was on a BJP MLA's report to the Assembly that an "anti-national" talk on 'Military occupation of Kashmir: Sexual violence on Kashmiri women' had been scheduled in Mumbai University. Promptly, the state education minister ordered the University to cancel the talk. The report called it a "timely intervention". The organiser of the talk was quoted in the last and shortest para of the 4-para report. There are obviously some strongly nationalist censors on the
