More belt tightening

The Ahmedabad Mirror which used to be given free with the Times of India in that city, has now been priced at Rs 1.  The Economic Times in Ahmedabad  has stopped hiring. DNA in Ahmedabad has engineered the departure of four journalists employed with them, including one in Rajkot. It has scaled down its Surat operations, with the edition for that city now  being produced in Ahmedabad, though it is still printed in Surat where Bhaskar has a press.
