Nine journalists from Mumbai have filed a petition before the Bombay high court to challenge the ban on the media coverage of the Sohrabuddin Sheikh encounter trial before the special CBI court. On Nov 29, CBI judge SJ Sharma passed an order on a plea by the defence counsel that the media could be present during the hearing but could not cover it as it was sensational and could lead to some "untoward incident".
