The government is planning to broadcast radio jingles on a bigger scale on All India Radio, featuring themes of countering Maoism. AIR has already been airing these jingles for the past one month in four naxal affected states Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar and Orissa. The jingles are meant to lure villagers and tribals away from Maoism and have already been produced in different local dialects.
