IN Media Watch Briefs | 26/03/2018

Cobrapost's Operation 136 has its reporter Pushp Sharma entrapping, as it were, a bunch of media houses with a paid news proposal from a fictitious Hindutva outfit. The list cover's Rajat Sharma's India TV, Amar Ujala Univarta, Punjab Kesari,  DNA, Dainik Jagran and several other including ScoopWhoop. The number 136 refers to India's place in the press freedom index. National Herald reports gleefully that the press conference saw some media houses hastily removing their mikes and leaving the venue, Republic TV and Rajya Sabha TV among them.
